The start of 2017 has shown positive signs for the commercial sector on the Sunshine Coast, with investors and owner-occupiers alike capitalising on favourable market conditions to achieve excellent outcomes.
Henzells Commercial Manager, Paul Bell, says the past few months have been characterised by increased optimism, with strong levels of enquiry and a number of significant sales achieved.
“Industrial sales in particular are solid and we are seeing a growing number of customers buying freehold space to run their own businesses instead of leasing - a sign of confidence in the region,’’ he says
Freestanding warehousing is one sector of the market attracting interest with the Henzells Commercial team recently negotiating major sales in Moffat Beach and Caloundra West. These comprised 908sqm of land and 435sqm of warehousing at 34 Allen Street, and 1078 sqm of land and 600sqm of warehousing at 6 Daniel Street.
“Business sentiment in Caloundra is strong with the encouraging level of commercial interest reflecting the growing confidence we are witnessing across all property sectors across the southern Sunshine Coast,’’ Paul says.
There are a number of exciting commercial opportunities in the wings including a boutique complex of brand new industrial units at 2-6 Exeter Way, Caloundra West, starting from $335,000 plus GST.With an expected completion date of May, the units feature first class amenities such as showers, quality kitchens, three phase power and plumbing to the concrete mezzanine level, representing an ideal freehold opportunity for a variety of business uses or an excellent investment proposition.
