Our Community Involvement

MAKING A DIFFERENCE SINCE 1935

Since 1935, Henzells Agency has forged strong links with the Caloundra community whilst contributing significantly to the establishment and development of Caloundra, Golden Beach, Pelican Waters, Aroona and Currimundi areas.

During its 89 year history our community involvement, sponsorship, support and the formation of the Henzells Pelican Waters Foundation has helped multiple charities and community groups.   

 

Henzells Agency was one of the shining lights at the 2023 Sunshine Coast Community Gala, winning the Social Commitment Award ahead of a first-class field. The Sunshine Coast Social Commitment Award acknowledges the services, efforts, actions, and positive input provided by volunteers, carers, businesses, organisations, and health professionals. 

The finalists were recognised for creating a sense of community spirit and a pathway for individuals to achieve a sense of belonging in the local community. We are immensely proud to be 2023 winners of this prestigious award given the strength of the other nominees, who all do such an amazing job enhancing the quality of life of those who depend on them.

 

CALOUNDRA PANTHERS

The Caloundra Panthers are ready to roar in 2021 with a little help from us here at Henzells as we are officially their major sponsor. As a proud club with great emphasis on teamwork and the community, which are values we share, we were more than happy to help out the team.
 

 

UNITY SOCCER CLUB

Henzells have an ongoing sponsorship of the Unity Soccer Club as, like all junior sports clubs on the Sunshine Coast, they rely on volunteers and sponsors to help put teams on the field.

HENZELLS PELICAN WATERS FOUNDATION

Henzells Agency and Pelican Waters have a 25 year history of gifting funds and land to charities, sporting clubs, individuals and families in need. 

In 2010, Henzells Agency and Pelican Waters established a Foundation to support local charities and families who do not receive government support.

Due to your generosity the foundation has donated in excess of $150,000 through a variety of mediums such as the annual golf and dinner classic which is a significant contributor.

FROM TEA TREE SWAMP TO A MAGICAL PLACE TO LIVE

THE PELICAN WATERS DEVELOPMENT – BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY

In 1946, the Henzell family purchased a hugely undeveloped piece of real estate for £2,000 pounds which was a lot in the day, especially as it was mostly undeveloped and swamp.

Today that unwanted property is the suburb of Pelican Waters, a prestige water based playground and golf lover’s paradise; a community that is aspired to. A 31 year project to date, the Pelican Waters residential community has sold more than 2,750 home sites since first released to the market in 1989.

Henzells Agency and Pelican Waters have an 85 and 31 year history respectively of gifting funds and land to charities, sporting clubs, individuals and families in need.
