Named after the explorer William Landsborough, Landsborough is a charming rural community located to the south of the Mooloolah Valley, north of Beerwah and west of the Bruce Highway.
European settlement of the area dates from the 1870s when the area emerged as a centre for timber-getting and farming. Gradual growth took place in the late 1800s helped along by the opening of the railway line in 1891.
Today people are drawn to Landsborough for the peace and quiet, friendly country atmosphere, cultural heritage, beautiful surrounds and excellent housing affordability.
Direct rail access to Brisbane also makes it a popular choice for commuters.
