Business usual for Henzells during street upgrade

As many of you would already be aware, a major revitalisation project is underway in the Caloundra CBD aimed at re-invigorating the town centre.

A key part of this includes a street-scaping upgrade of Bulcock Street from Felicity Park to the Minchinton Street Roundabout which is part of a wider plan for the CBD to create more interesting public places and diverse attractions.

With a completion date estimated for late November, it will offer a modern, dynamic canopy lighting feature, a new street profile that removes upright kerbs to cater for events, contemporary street furniture, extra vegetation and public art.

The Sunshine Coast Council says the upgrade will build on the street’s existing character, significantly enhance the look and experience of the area, improve safety and access and encourage more people to visit town to support businesses.

There will also be scope for extra activities such as evening trading, breathing new life into the city.

While the upgrade will cause temporary unavoidable inconvenience for some businesses, the consensus in the community is the end result will be well worth it.

Henzells Agency has experienced many changes to Caloundra since first opening its doors 80 years ago and views this latest enhancement as a  very positive one which will grow our reputation as not only a friendly and welcoming community but a great place to conduct business.

Please note it will be business as usual for Henzells during the street-scaping project. The period from June 25 to July 22 in particular will see the business most affected with works to footpaths being carried out around our Bulcock Street office, however our doors will still be open for all your Real Estate needs, backed by Real People and Real Service.

We thank you for your patience during this time and look forward to seeing you soon.
