As the weather begins heating up for the Spring all the children come out to play these school holidays! Caloundra has some excellent activities set up by council and local businesses to ensure there’s not a dull moment over the two and a half weeks of the September school holidays 2016!
Whatever your preference in activities Caloundra will not disappoint with activities for all ages over the school holidays including Lah-Lah Sing it Loud, Alice in Wonderland, 3D Laser Disco, rock climbing and much more!
Don’t miss out on these family friendly events and activities to make the most of your school holidays and create as many memories as possible!
Casual indoor rock climbing will be held at the Sunshine Coast recreation centre throughout the holidays from the 19th of September – 1st of October 2016 from age 5 and upwards anyone can enjoy the 12 different walls offering all levels of difficulty to challenge everyone from the kids to you parents as well! For only $11 per person this is a great family activity for a challenge and to burn some extra energy!
Lah-Lah Sing it Loud will also be entertaining for children of ages as the stars of ABC KIDS Big Live Band come to Caloundra RSL to play up a storm with their biggest musical show yet! The kids will be entertained form 10am on the 24th whilst you can relax and enjoy a coffee or even get involved and sing along with your children!
Caloundra RSL is also hosting a 3D Laser Disco for children between 5 and 15 on the 25th of September 4pm – 6:30pm featuring a ‘Follow the Future’ interactive laser show where the kids can dance along! The disco is fully supervised by Caloundra RSL ‘Cosmic Cave Team’ so parents can drop the kids off and enjoy a wine or beer with some time to relax before having a delicious and reasonably priced dinner!
The mad as a hatter Alice in Wonderland will be rolling into the Caloundra Events Centre for one night only on the 24th of September from 6pm. This fun for the whole family event is a timeless classic evoking the imaginations of children and adults alike!
If you prefer a hands on approach to stoke your imagination the Caloundra Regional Gallery is holding multiple events based on Clay art for children with the help of local artists, children can learn how to and actually create different sculptures ranging from miniature habitats to contemporary sculptures. Caloundra Library is also hosting in ‘Imagination Station’ from all ages on most days throughout the holidays, please see the Caloundra Library website for dates and times of each event. Let your childs imagination go wild with different days focusing on different set ups including Castles and Dragons, Sloper Game Creator, Turtle Time, Minecraft, Ozobots and much more!
