Henzells takes great pride in real estate and has been rewarded with a loyal and growing following. Since our earliest days, we have been passionate about enhancing the social fabric by giving back to the communities in which we operate.
More than bricks and mortar, Henzells and Pelican Waters has contributed greatly to community projects such as donating land for the Caloundra Cricket Club, Golden Beach bowls and tennis club and Caloundra City Private School.
We have left a lasting legacy for future generations through the establishment of numerous parks, bridges and canals and helped people reach their full potential through the raising of hundreds of thousands of dollars for worthy local charities and sporting groups.
Most recently we were very pleased to present Bloomhill Cancer Care with the proceeds from the Henzells Pelican Waters Foundation 2016 Charity Golf & Dinner Classic held on October 28.
Bloomhill has developed a comprehensive integrated cancer care service that provides individualised care to over 400 local people with cancer each month. Because it is not just the person living with cancer that is impacted by it, they extend their services to families and carers as well.
Bloomhill services have supported the community since 1997 and receives no on-going government funding and so relies primarily on the funds generated by their Op Shops, the Cotton Tree Markets and importantly on the generosity of the Sunshine Coast community through donations and bequests.
Henzells and Pelican Waters staff were generously invited to a morning tea at the Bloomhill Cancer Care café recently where they enjoyed wonderful hospitality and a tour of the facilities that makes Bloomhill the special place that it is.
Henzells and Pelican Waters Directors Garry Waters & Roy Henzell said the Foundation was very happy to be contributing to such a worthwhile cause which relied on community support to survive.
“This year we were very happy to support Bloomhill Cancer Care which helps people of all ages on the Sunshine Coast to live well with cancer,’’ Garry said.
“We are very appreciative of the generosity of the businesses that return year after year to support our Foundation and wish to leave a legacy in the Caloundra community by helping worthy causes,’’ he said.
