Coast Wins from Exciting Events Program

A bumper Sunshine Coast events program is proving a major winner for local tourism, with Henzells’ holiday letting business Accom Caloundra riding the crest of the wave.

Eight major events are scheduled between now and November, with the Caloundra Music Festival taking centre stage on the southern Sunshine Coast.

Accom Caloundra Holiday Team Leader Danielle Smithson says accommodation was already nearly fully booked for the music and cultural showpiece from September 30 to October 3.

 “The forward booking trend for this year’s music festival has been exceptionally strong with people from throughout South East Queensland and interstate getting in early so they don’t miss out,’’ Danielle said.

“It’s becoming so popular that people just rebook for the next year once they leave. We manage around 100 holiday rentals in Kings Beach and the surrounding area which will be totally booked out for the music festival,’’ she said.

Accom Caloundra is working closely with tourism entities Sunshine Coast Events and Visit Sunshine Coast to spread the word about the region’s exciting events program.
