With work duties calling and the start of the new school year just around the corner, the Christmas holidays are already just a pleasant memory for most.

What a sensational summer it has been so far.

The 2015-2016 school holidays have been the busiest Caloundra has seen in recent memory with thousands of visitors from throughout South East Queensland and interstate arriving to enjoy our beautiful beaches, warm sunshine and great hospitality.

Our holiday rental business, Accom Caloundra, achieved near record occupancy over the period with our 150-plus rental properties all snapped up well before the festive season arrived.

The Accom Caloundra team was run off its feet during the countdown to Christmas and even busier in the peak holiday time, tending to guests’ requests and ensuring all their needs were met.

It was rewarding to get so much positive feedback from our valued holidaymakers for the way we took care of them and we are delighted that so many people enjoyed a wonderful stay on the Sunshine Coast.

If you’re already dreaming of your next holiday with us and you haven’t yet made plans, the advice would be to get in quickly because rooms for next Christmas are already filling up fast and only a handful remain for the coming Easter break.

Our Property Management team estimates that Christmas 2016 will be almost 100% booked by early April, so if you want a holiday to remember don’t hold back, book now.

All guests booking through Accom Caloundra, as well as general visitors to the region and property owners have access to our new holiday app.

Through this new app, we have taken the bulky old style compendium you used to see in the foyers of hotels and apartments into the 21^st century, adding even more info and services through an interactive platform people can access before they arrive or while they’re out and about exploring the area.

For guests booking through Accom Caloundra the app counts down their arrival date, offers detailed information about their booking including GPS directions, Wi-Fi passwords, gate codes and the like as well providing access to make personalised requests or send for maintenance.

Available for free download to Apple or Android devices, the app has been a huge success this summer and we expect the uptake to be even stronger in the holidays ahead.
