Here’s Cheers to the Fire Service
If ever there was a well-earned beer to be had it will be next Friday in Caloundra, when the community will be throwing its support behind the Queensland Rural Fire Service.
Make sure you drop along to the corner of Bulcock and Minchinton Streets on November 22 where Henzells Agency, local café and wine bar One Third French and brewer Stone & Wood will join forces to help our fire heroes.
Welcome the weekend with a cold schooner and a sausage, with all profits going to this very worthy cause.
With approximately 36,000 unpaid volunteers serving in approximately 1,500 brigades across the state, the men and women of the rural fire service do incredible work providing dedicated fire services to 93% of Queensland.
We cannot thank them enough for their selfless efforts in fighting so hard to keep people, property and animals safe.
So here’s cheers to the firies. The snags will start sizzling from about 12 noon, see you there.
