History has been remade in the Caloundra CBD with the $1.5 million redevelopment of the iconic Henzells Plaza now complete.
Fully tenanted and open for business, the local landmark on the corner of Bulcock and Minchinton Streets is already a hive of activity, featuring a cool café & wine bar and a range of professional businesses and services.
Locals and visitors alike are loving the new-look plaza, which in just a short space of time has become a popular meeting place for people either socially or for a cross-pollination of business ideas.
Henzells Plaza is home to One Third French café & wine bar offering excellent coffee, homemade pastries and craft beer on tap, Shielded Insurance Brokers, eco-conscious beautician Alexami and Hotondo Homes.
The project’s designers OGE Group Architects, and the construction company responsible for bringing the 45-year-old building into the modern age, HM Developments, have also made their headquarters there.
The new building offers a fresh, simple design which accentuates light and space in both the internal and external areas. Features include wood cladding and hardwood ceiling battens, skylights illuminating the arcade, landscaped planter boxes, glass store fronts and louvres for natural ventilation for light.
Managed by Henzells Commercial, the complex was fully tenanted more than a month before its completion.
