Caloundra is once again shaping up as a true holiday hotspot this festive season, with strong bookings flooding in from throughout South East Queensland and beyond.

As one of the leading holiday accommodation providers on the Sunshine Coast, Henzells Agency is approaching record occupancy levels in the countdown to Christmas as the warm summer sunshine and relaxed Caloundra beach vibe prove impossible to resist.

Each year holidaymakers seem to be getting in earlier, picking their favourite locations well in advance to avoid disappointment. Our holiday rental business, Accom Caloundra, has been run off its feet and virtually all available accommodation for the upcoming school holiday period was snapped up more than two months ago.

With 165 rental properties to choose from, Henzells’ offers the full spectrum of holiday experiences in great locations from Currimundi to Golden Beach, with the prime beach areas of Kings, Moffat and Shelly always in hot demand.

One trend we have noticed in recent years is the rise in demand for pet-friendly accommodation, as it seems every man and his dog now wants to holiday in our beautiful part of the world!

With approximately four million pet dogs in Australia there is no denying the popularity of the family pooch and more and more people are now opting to travel with their four legged friend in tow.

The tourism industry has certainly woken up to the fact that there is a growing market for families and couples who want to holiday with their pets.

At Henzells we have approximately 15 rental properties on our books listed as pet friendly and we find that most visitors are very responsible with their dogs, taking excellent care of the properties they stay in.

Another highlight of the holiday season for Henzells has been the success of our Accom Caloundra holiday app created as a handy reference tool for guests booking holiday accommodation, general visitors to Caloundra and property owners.

Through this new app, we have taken the bulky old style compendium you used to see in the foyers of hotels and apartments into the 21^st century, adding even more info and services through an interactive platform people can access before they arrive or while they’re out and about exploring the area.

For guests booking through Accom Caloundra the app counts down their arrival date, offers detailed information about their booking including GPS directions, Wi-Fi passwords, gate codes and the like as well providing access to make personalised requests or send for maintenance.

The app has been well received by our holiday guests, with well over 100 people already taking advantage of the free download to their Apple or Android device.
