Henzells are proud to announce the promotion of our highly-experienced property professional, Katherine Allan, to the new position of General Manager.
Nearing her 16-year anniversary with the agency, Katherine will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our day-to-day operations. Katherine was previously Henzells’ Operations Manager, presiding over a period of strong growth for the business highlighted most recently by driving record holiday, leasing and sales results through the difficult COVID-19 period.
Henzells Directors Garry Waters and Roy Henzell said Katherine was a natural choice for the top job.
“Katherine has been with us for 16 years and a leader in establishing the culture which thrives in the organisation,’’ Garry said.
Roy said Katherine’s leadership had help ensure the agency remained in a strong position through challenging times. “She provides great leadership and ensures the continuing success of the business which we are forever grateful for,’’ he said.
Hailing from County Down, Northern Ireland, Katherine moved to her husband’s home town Brisbane in the 1990s, after the pair met while working at a summer camp in the USA. Katherine worked as an Office Manager in the building industry for 10 years, relocating to the Sunshine Coast which had become a favourite holiday destination.
She started with Henzells Agency in 2005 as a part time Admin Assistant where her strong customer service skills, multi-tasking and attention to detail saw her quickly rise through the ranks.
In 2009 Katherine was awarded the Bevan Henzell Award for exceptional service to Henzells Agency.
In 2017 she was awarded the inaugural Henzells Agency Award in appreciation of her contribution to the agency’s success.
