Kings Takes The Crown as Queensland’s Best Beach

When it comes to living the ultimate coastal lifestyle, Kings Beach is one of the jewels in the crown.

It has long been one of our best loved beach communities at Henzells Caloundra, for the generations of holidaymakers who return to its pristine shores each year; astute property investors and the couples and families who have made it their home.

Offering a vibrant mix of residential properties, apartments, resorts, cafes and restaurants, Kings is also home to an ocean-front saltwater swimming pool, beautiful Kings Beach Park, scenic boardwalk and excellent recreational facilities.

We can now add Queensland’s number one beach to the list, following news from Surf Life Saving Queensland this week that Kings Beach had been officially named the best in the state.

Kings Beach came out on top for best beach overall, safest beach and most family friendly beach.

In a media release from SLSQ, chief operating officer George Hill said the organisation had considered a wide variety of factors when compiling the list and selecting the winning beach.

“For us, obviously the safety of swimmers and beachgoers is our first and foremost priority, so we looked at how often beaches were patrolled and what services were offered, in addition to various other factors ranging from coastal conditions to Australian standard beach signage,” he said.

“We also took into account how family-friendly the beach was, and this included a number of things, including parking, access to public transport, facilities and overall cleanliness.

“Kings Beach certainly ticks all of those boxes; it’s patrolled 365 days of the year and also ranked extremely highly across other safety categories. It’s a wonderful beach for a quick swim or a relaxing day trip with the family.

“It’s a beautiful spot that’s always a popular location with tourists and locals alike, and there’s no doubt it’s a deserving winner,” he said.

We couldn’t agree more, and it was also great to see Dicky Beach getting a mention as one of Queensland’s safest beaches, coming in at number 8.

These results highlight the huge lifestyle advantages associated with Caloundra’s beachside communities.

Throw others into the mix including Kawana, Currimundi, Moffat Beach, Shelly Beach and Bulcock Beach - each with their own character and charm - and you can see why the region is fast becoming one of Queensland’s favourite places to live.
