Lisa’s up in Lights!

Our dedicated Sales Secretary Lisa Mollenhauer’s name has gone up in lights after celebrating her 10th anniversary with the company.

Lisa joins a number of key Henzells and Pelican Waters staff who have reached major anniversary milestones in recent weeks, representing a combined 45-years’ dedicated service.

These include Pelican Waters Office Manager Sandy Callaghan (18 years) and Pelican Waters Project Manager Phil Tyrer (17 years), while one of our original team members, financial controller Steve Webb, will celebrate his 24th anniversary later in the year.

Lisa said she was honoured to make it to the Henzells Honour Board for reaching the 10-year milestone. Unveiled at Henzells’ 80th birthday celebrations in 2015, the board pays tribute to the long serving staff who have helped shape us into the company we are today.

“My biggest career highlight has definitely making it to 10 years with Henzells - it was a huge milestone for me,’’ said Lisa.

“It was such an amazing feeling getting my name up on the board in reception. It really felt like I was part of something special.

“Henzells really are more like a family to me than a workplace. I’m looking forward to making the 15 year milestone now,’’ she said.

Lisa has become one of the most valued and respected members of the Henzells team, renowned for honesty, hard work, industry knowledge and friendly approach.

Sandy Callaghan said it was the unique family values and leadership approach of directors Roy Henzell and Garry Waters that resulted in so many staff enjoying long and rewarding careers.

“They look after you, and because of that you want to give back as much as you can,’’ Sandy said.

“When you like what you do so much, it’s not like coming to work. I also love the variety and the new challenges that keep you hungry, as well as the camaraderie that comes with being part of a great team.”

Formerly from northern New South Wales, Sandy moved to the Sunshine Coast – a favourite camping destination for her and her husband – just prior to the property boom in 1999.

After working a variety of admin jobs, she joined Pelican Waters when the Greg Norman designed golf course and residential precinct was being launched, a project that would be a major catalyst for the masterplanned community’s ongoing success.

“Despite all we have achieved, I feel like the best is still to come,” said Sandy referring to the new world class town centre and marina precinct currently under construction at the southern end of the estate.

“I’m looking forward to another 18 years,’’ she said.

Phil Tyrer worked with infrastructure company Cardno  on the engineering of Pelican Waters’ first water-based project, Lake Magellan prior to moving full-time to Pelican Waters in 2000 where he has guided the development’s major projects ever since.

Henzells and Pelican Waters directors Roy Henzell and Garry Waters commended Sandy, Phil, Lisa and Steve for their outstanding contributions.

“To dedicate so many years to a career is no small achievement and to do it with the level of commitment, professionalism,  passion  and loyalty that these people have done is an inspiration to everybody who works here,’’ Garry said.

“We have been very fortunate to have these people with us for so much of the Henzells and Pelican Waters journey. They have played a huge role in shaping the success of the business over the decades,’’ Roy said.
