The curtain has come down on another successful Henzells charity movie night which raised $2,500 for Wishlist’s Dove Palliative Care Unit.
Caloundra Cinemas was buzzing with excitement for the big event which saw community members and business leaders out in force to raise much needed funds for these local heroes who do such valuable work supporting people living with life-threatening illness.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank a few stars of the show without whom the event would not have been possible, such as our major sponsors the Sunshine Coast Daily, HM Developments and realestate.com.au.
Thanks also to Caloundra Cinemas for allowing us to use their wonderful venue, the talented Cade Mooney for his great work behind the camera, and of course our fabulous staff who always have their hearts in the right place when it comes to causes such as this.
Most of all, however, we would like to thank the public who supported this sell-out event, embracing the spirit of giving back to the community. A great night was had by all, enjoying Disney’s The Lion King, champers and pizza.
Our good friends at Wishlist’s Dove Palliative Care Unit including Nurse Unit Manager Chris Gardner and Clinical Director Louise Welch were overwhelmed with the outcome, saying it helped the unit go from the “Toyota Corolla to the Mercedes Benz” of care.
We wish them all the best for the road ahead; providing outstanding services to local individuals and families doing it tough. It was an honour to offer them a helping hand.
