The Sunshine Coast business community has swung behind the Henzells Pelican Waters Foundation 2016 Charity Golf & Dinner Classic, with another huge field to contest the October 28 event.
The annual charity classic at Pelican Waters Golf Club is going from strength to strength, raising more than over 130,000 for worthy local charities over the years.
This year’s event promises to be one of the best yet, featuring a fun day of golf and casual lunch at Pelican Waters Golf Club followed by a night of great entertainment and charity dinner at The Sebel Pelican Waters Golf Resort & Spa complete with music, auctions, guest speakers and more.
This year we are very pleased to announce that main recipient of the 2016 Charity Golf & Dinner Classic is Bloomhill Cancer Care.
Bloomhill Cancer Care supports people of all ages on the Sunshine Coast to live well with cancer.
Because cancer effects so many in our community, Bloomhill has developed a comprehensive integrated cancer care service that provides individualised care to over 400 local people with cancer each month. Because it is not just the person living with cancer that is impacted by it, they extend their services to families and carers as well.
Bloomhill services have supported our community since 1997 and receives no on-going government funding and so relies primarily on the funds generated by their Op Shops, the Cotton Tree Markets and importantly on the generosity of the Sunshine Coast community through donations and bequests.
The Foundation is very happy to be contributing to such a worthwhile cause which relies on community support to survive.
We are also very appreciative of the generosity of the businesses that return year after year to support our Foundation and wish to leave a legacy in the Caloundra community.
Henzells Agency and Pelican Waters has a proud, 25 year history of donating funds and land to charities, sporting clubs, individuals and families in need.
