COVID-19 has changed the way we are doing business but in many ways we are working harder than ever as we strive to keep our operations strong and, most importantly, our clients and staff healthy and safe.
This is particularly evident in property management where upheavals to the economy and people’s freedom of movement has placed unprecedented pressures on the business.
We are extremely proud of our dedicated property management team for the way they have coped and adapted to ensure the best possible service and standards are maintained during this very challenging time.
While our office may not be open to foot traffic, we are still busily finding tenants, processing incoming tenant paperwork, dealing with lease renewals, coordinating maintenance in accordance with social distancing protocols and much, much more.
We are responding daily to the ever-changing landscape, introducing a raft of new measures for tenants and landlords such as drive-by routine inspections, virtual inspections and video tours of properties for lease.
Our property managers are also in the front line negotiating with stakeholders whose circumstances have changed due to the coronavirus downturn, which can be a delicate undertaking.
It is a fine line to tread, balancing the individual needs of tenants and property owners with compassion and fairness. We cannot speak highly enough of our property managers who have all gone beyond the call of duty to ensure the best possible outcomes for all concerned.
Rental arears has not slipped below 2% through the pandemic, testament to our proven systems, highly trained team, excellent communication skills and ability to adapt.
Henzells Agency would not have survived the past 85 years, let alone become the region’s dominant full service agency, if we didn’t continue to evolve and meet challenges head on.
In good times and bad, we are here for the long haul.
