As we prepare to bid farewell to 2024, it’s time to pause and reflect on a remarkable year for Henzells Agency. The past 12 months have been a celebration of new beginnings, major milestones, and the unwavering commitment of our team to excellence in real estate and community engagement.
From welcoming fresh faces and honouring longstanding team members, to achieving record-breaking sales and supporting our community heroes, 2024 has truly been a year to remember.
Welcoming new talent
This year, we were thrilled to welcome several new team members who have already made a significant impact. Property consultant Dave Cowan-Clark joined the sales team and hit the ground running. Meanwhile, Kyla Noakes became an integral part of our growing Accom Caloundra team as a Holiday Reservations Consultant, and just in time for the holiday season, Elle McDonald brought fresh energy to our front desk as our new receptionist.
Celebrating milestones
Our longstanding team members continued to inspire us with their dedication. Danielle Smithson and Michele Kelly from Accom Caloundra celebrated 10 years of service, while Paul Bell from Henzells Commercial marked an impressive 15 years. These incredible milestones highlight the loyalty and commitment that define the Henzells team, with their names proudly added to our Honour Board.
If you’re passionate about real estate and looking to join a dynamic, supportive team, we’re currently seeking a Senior Property Manager and Sales Consultants to join us.
Recognising our Henzells Heroes
The Henzells Hero campaign shone a spotlight on extraordinary individuals who selflessly give back to the community.
Among this year’s honourees were Jack Steel - a teenage dancer and DJ supporting local causes; Daisy Cox - a local legend bringing joy to girls with autism; Hannah Clifford - a brave 10-year-old facing serious health challenges; youth mental health advocate Jonathon Pitcher; and a volunteer championing faith in schools – Nicky Ross. Their stories inspire us and remind us of the strength and generosity within the community we have proudly served since 1935.
Achieving record sales
The past year was a standout for property sales, with Henzells achieving over $260 million in transactions. Highlights included the top three highest sales in Pelican Waters, with 7 Finnegan Place selling for $3,870,000, 40 The Passage for $3,855,000, and 7 Delisser Place for $3,800,000. Linda Feltman was instrumental in these remarkable achievements and continued to build her reputation as one of the best in the field, being named one of Queensland’s Top 50 Real Estate Agents by Real Estate Business.
In other achievements, Iain Simms surpassed an incredible career milestone of $250 million in total property sales, including the second highest sale in Golden Beach this year for 155 Esplanade.
May was our standout month, with $35 million in transactions across residential and commercial properties. Congratulations also to Morgan Bonanno, who negotiated the highest re-sale block of land in Pelican Waters, 32 Harbourlights Way, for $1,950,000.
Supporting tourism and long-term tenancies
As providers of 150 plus short-term holiday properties we continued to promote Caloundra as an attractive holiday destination. Leveraging innovative technologies such as Airbnb & Booking.com, we facilitated well over $5 million in bookings and welcomed around 3,000 arrivals in the past twelve months.
In 2024 we fielded 10,072 tenant enquiries, conducted 539 inspections and processed 2,066 applications successfully finding homes for 357 families.
Rewarding success
Our Annual Awards Night in July was a highlight of the year, bringing the entire team together at Three Restaurant in Caloundra to celebrate outstanding achievements across all facets of the business. From sales to property management, holiday rentals, and administration, the evening was a fitting tribute to a year of extraordinary efforts.
Congratulations to this year’s award winners Linda Feltman (Sales Agent of the Year, Excellence in Marketing, Most Listings, Sales Team of the Year); Georgia Warwood (Sales Team of the Year, Rising Star); Rochelle Heenan (Sales Team of the Year); Deb Newnham (Judy Henzell Award); Michelle Judd, Mikaela Nitschke, Tanya Jimmieson (Joan Ford Award); Louise Tilden (Quiet Achiever Award); Regan Schoeman (Bevan Henzell Award); Paul Bell (Henzells Agency Award); Michelle Judd and Tara Henderson (Sue Custance Memorial Award).
Staff training and engagement is always top priority at Henzells. This year, our sales team attended a workshop led by one of Australia's top performance psychologists, Dr. Phil Jauncey whose ideas around mindset and personal development greatly assisted individual and team growth.
Community matters
We love the sense of belonging that comes with being part of something bigger than ourselves, and the pride that comes with being directly involved in the progress of our people and our region. Together, through our collective efforts, we can make positive and lasting change that strengthens our community, fosters unity, and creates a brighter future for all.
This year we were happy to sponsor and raise funds for numerous worthy causes including Unity Soccer, Pacific Netball, Day for Daniel, Caloundra VETS Golf Club, Prostate Cancer, 92.7MixFM’s Give Me 5 For Kids appeal, Youturn and Unity Netball.
Looking ahead
As we approach our 90th anniversary in 2025, we reflect on 2024 with immense gratitude and pride. The dedication of our team, the support of our community, and the milestones achieved together have set the stage for even greater accomplishments ahead.
Here’s to continued success, shared triumphs, and the enduring Henzells spirit. Cheers to a remarkable 2024!
