The anniversary milestones continue to tumble at Henzells and Pelican Waters with key team members recently recognised for a combined 52 years’ service for our family-owned business.
Celebrating their anniversaries this month are Pelican Waters Financial Controller Steve Webb (24 years), land sales specialist Jackie Dalton (11 years), Henzells Commercial Manager Paul Bell (8 years), Henzells Sales Manager Kyle Davies (4 years), Holiday Team Leader Danielle Smithson (3 years) and leasing consultant Shar-lee Duffy (2 years).
As one of Henzells and Pelican Waters original team members, Steve Webb said seeing the Pelican Waters development evolve from scratch to a modern masterplanned community which was now home to in excess of 6000 residents was very rewarding.
He said his career with Pelican Waters had brought many highlights, the establishment of the Greg Norman designed golf course as a central feature of the development being one of the most notable.
“At the time golf course developments were falling over left right and centre around Queensland but we came up with a successful model that maximized the benefits, offering 11km of golf course frontage land,” he said.
Steve has played a key role in many other defining projects for the community over the years such as the development of the Bevan Henzell Bridge, paving the way for Pelican Waters’ first canal release and providing the residents of Diamond Head with flood free access.
“Building the lake, loch and weir precinct giving residence additional security for their waterfront land was another highlight,’’ he said.
“It has been a great honour to work with a great team for so long, realising the dream of the Henzell and Ford families.”
Awarded Henzells’ Land Salesperson of the Year a record 10 years straight, Ms Dalton’s hard work, passion and commitment to her profession are in an inspiration to everybody around her.
“One of the most rewarding parts of the job is the friendships I have made with customers and the loyalty they have shown me over the years.”
Achieving a record land sale of approximately $1.4 million for a waterfront block at Deep Water Circuit was another special moment, she said.
For Paul Bell, the opportunity to diversify and grow within the company made for a unique working environment.
“I sold residential properties for a number of years and moved across to commercial which has given me great insight into different aspects of the industry.
“I love seeing people smile when they get the desired result,’’ he said.
Henzells and Pelican Waters directors Roy Henzell and Garry Waters commended Steve, Jackie, Paul, Kyle, Danielle, and Shar-lee for their outstanding contributions.
